De Jong responds to United’s transfer interest
Erik ten Hag has a lot of work to do this summer as he is looking to prepare his squad for next season. Among those waiting to present will be a familiar face from his days at Ajax.
United are considering a possible move for Frenkie de Jong, after contacting Barcelona for his availability. All the noise from Barça boss Xavi and the club’s hierarchy suggests that the midfielder could be available given the club’s precarious financial situation.

De Jong, however, has now addressed the interest that has been emanating from Old Trafford. The Dutch international admits he is well aware of United’s search, but has declined to say whether or not he has spoken to Ten Hag to make the move.

Danjuma makes the revelation of Liverpool amid United’s surveillance
De Jong is not the only player United is watching at the moment. The Reds are also paying attention to Arnaut Danjuma, having admired the Villarreal star from afar after considering him an alternative to Jadon Sancho last summer.
While United are watching the winger, a move under Ten Hag is still unlikely. Danjuma has a € 45m termination clause that could be activated this summer, although United are well stocked on the far left.
Nor are they the only side that has shown interest in the 25-year-old. Speaking to the Dutch media this week, Danjuma revealed that Liverpool had also been watching him closely, and suggested that he consider a move if an offer was made.
