Before the trial, Ellen Barkin, with whom Mr. Depp was also romantically involved in the 1990s, calling him a “controlling man” and “jealous,” and recounting an incident in Las Vegas in which, he said, Mr. Depp threw. a bottle of wine in a hotel room.
