THE RED ARROWS have landed at Bournemouth Airport in preparation for a full summer flight schedule.
The audience watched as the RAF acrobatic team (RAFAT), the Red Arrows, landed at the airport shortly after 3.30pm on Friday.
The pilots had taken off around 3pm from their base in Scampton.
Harry Edwards, William Mead and Jack Rolls were three Red Arrow fans to watch the landing. The boys had been waiting outside Bournemouth Airport since 11 a.m. for their arrival.
Harry said, “I’m a regular observer. I’ve been doing it for 11 years. I really love red arrows.”
Alice and Vivian Miller had also been patiently waiting for the landing. Alice said, “It’s a chance to see them come to Bournemouth!”
The Red Arrows will return from Bournemouth Airport today at 5.50pm, will pass through Lymington at 5.7pm, before returning to Bournemouth after their display at 6.30pm.
They will also be flying over the Isle of Wight for the Isle of Wight festival.
The Military Airshows website has details on where and when, with all schedules and routes subject to change, depending on the weather and other issues.
Of course, they will return to the Bournemouth Air Festival, which is scheduled to take place from Thursday, September 1 to Sunday, September 4.
