For the first time in history, a woman has been appointed to head NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
It’s an exciting time for women in the space exploration industry, with newly appointed Dr. Laura Leshin saying as a child that she “never imagined” this would ever happen.
Dr. Leshin began at NASA as a Caltech PhD student before pursuing a distinguished career as a geochemist, space scientist, and academic.
