UPDATE: The alert for dangerous people with firearms in Air Ronge / La Ronge has been canceled. Several people have been arrested. The person whose photo was released with the previous emergency alert has not yet been found. Police are still searching for him. His identity has not been confirmed. Citizens must be vigilant. Police are still on the scene and the public can expect to see a larger police presence in the Air Ronge / La Ronge area.

The Saskatchewan RCMP issued a public safety alert after shots were fired at police at 12:40 p.m. on Sunday.
The RCMP said they are looking for two men with guns, one described as short, with dark hair with shaved sides, dark pants and a dark shirt with gold patterns on the sleeves and dark runners. Last seen on foot in the Far Reserve Road area on Air Ronge. Possible sighting north on Highway 2. Police also attached a photo to their statement.
