Climate Change and Energy Minister Chris Bowen said on federal election day “a gale blew up nine years of delay, denial and climate dysfunction.”
“Well, it’s tempting to say that May 21 saw the winds of change blow in our country,” Mr. Bowen while speaking Wednesday at the National Press Club.
“But in fact, a gale blew up nine years of delay, denial and climate dysfunction.
“After years of climate change policy armed by conservatives, after years of unfounded fear campaigns about the cost of climate action, there were climate elections.
“And these elections resulted in a Labor victory with an ambitious climate agenda.”
