Bradley Cotten charged with murder of Feebie McIntosh in Sunshine Coast

A grieving boy had just proposed dating a young woman before he was allegedly shot in the head by another man accused of murder.

A man will face court on Saturday after being charged with the murder of a much-loved young woman on the Sunshine Coast.

Currimundi’s wife, Feebie McIntosh, 25, was shot in the head during an incident at a Coolum St home in Dicky Beach around 9 a.m. Friday.

Police described the incident as a “disturbance” and said that after the shooting, a 58-year-old man took Mrs McIntosh to Caloundra Base Hospital where she later died.

Bradley Ian Cotten, 30, was arrested around 3:30 p.m. Friday after police intercepted his vehicle on Fitzwilliam Street in Sippy Downs.

Police say Ms. McIntosh and Mr. Cotten knew each other, but initial investigations suggest the alleged murder was not related to domestic violence.

It is understood that the couple were together visiting the house where the shooting took place and both were friends of the woman who owned the property.

The woman is assisting the police in their investigation.

Mr Cotten, who lives in Narangba, 34 kilometers north of Brisbane, will face Maroochydore Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.

Tributes to Mrs. McIntosh have flowed on social media with friends describing her as a “bubble, beautiful and affectionate” person.

“Rest in peace dear,” Jason Mawson wrote on Facebook.

“That should never have happened, I can’t believe it,” Cath Quinlan said.

Zac Claire remembered Mrs. McIntosh’s “good soul.”

He said, “Whenever I needed someone, you would be there. You helped me get through some of my toughest moments.”

In the weeks leading up to her death, Ms. McIntosh told Facebook friends she had received a touching marriage proposal, which was inside a puzzle made by her boyfriend Mitch White.

“Your [sic] the love of my life and I can’t wait to … form our own little family, ”White wrote in a letter posted on Facebook along with the proposal.

Mrs McIntosh said Mr White was “the sweetest man ever”.

“The best part is that you’re all mine,” he wrote.
