A Coles worker calls for Woolies to respond to “hostage” situation within 24 hours “or”

Woolworths has received a hilarious threat from a Coles worker, who gave the retailer 24 hours to respond to his proposal.

A cheeky Coles worker has posed a severe threat to his employer’s biggest competitor, Woolworths, after encountering an unexpected scene in the parking lot.

The employee filmed his discovery for a hanging TikTok on Friday and told Woolies he had to address the issue immediately “or else.”

The clip showed two Woolworths wagons had infiltrated a Coles wagon pickup bay, which the worker joked about.

“Hi, this is a message from Coles to Woolies,” the worker told viewers.

“We’re currently holding two of your shopping carts hostage,” he said, before hitting a Coles cart against the two Woolies property.

“You have 24 hours to respond. Or else.”

The 11-second clip has been viewed more than 460,000 times and has received nearly 800 comments, many from people who urged Woolworths to respond.

“No, Woolies, I wouldn’t let this slide partner do it,” he read a comment.

“If I were Woolies, I would come to the table with an offer,” said another.

“I wouldn’t accept any kind of disrespect if I were Woolies,” one third wrote.

People loyal to opposing supermarkets also came to the defense of the chosen store.

“I work at Woolies, set them free!” said one.

“So I support that as a member of Coles,” wrote another.

Someone else jokingly suggested “call the police.”

“Ger, our Woolies don’t always have cars … I think I just found out why,” said another person.

Others jokingly said that the chariot saga was a sad example of what bad crime was like in Australia.

“So frightening are the wars on the streets of Australian cities. RIP the fallen,” one wrote.

Some were simply excited to see the development of the drama.

“Oh YES! I’m so depressed about it !!” said one person.
