A nearby resident is said to have heard something crying from the bin and found the child among the grass clippings inside, Grimsby Live reports.

The paramedics moved to the scene in a matter of minutes, while the police cordoned off the area.

The baby’s mother has since been located and both she and the baby were taken to hospital for check-ups.

It is now understood that they are being cared for by the competent authorities.

A resident told Grimsby Live: “The mother must have been too young to understand or she didn’t want anyone to know she was pregnant.

“We just hope you get the attention you need [for her] and your baby. “

At least four police cars were taken to the quiet family farm along with two ambulances after the crash was found on Sunday.

Officers were also seen calling door to door to interview residents.

An East Midlands ambulance service spokesman said: “We received a call at 16:58 on 19 June at a private address in Grimsby.

“The caller reported a medical emergency. We sent two manned ambulances and two patients were taken to Diana Hospital, Princess of Wales.”

Humberside police said they could not give further details other than the statement provided Sunday to GrimsbyLive.

The statement said: “Officers are attending a Winchester Avenue property following reports of security concerns earlier this afternoon (Sunday, June 19).

“Stakeholders have been provided with assistance. There are no problems or risks for the community at large.”
