A cyclist transported to hospital after being hit by a car on London Road

A cyclist was taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Hadleigh.

Essex police are requesting information following the incident on London Road, A13, near the junction with Woodfield Road.

Officers were called after reports that a silver van driven by a white woman collided with a cyclist and left the scene before emergency services attended.

It happened today (Sunday, July 10) around 9:45 p.m.

The cyclist, about 40 years old, was taken to hospital by air ambulance after suffering several injuries.

They are not described as dangerous or life-changing.
