A drug that can delay prostate cancer for more than a year in terminally ill patients is approved

UK regulators have approved a prostate cancer drug for terminally ill patients that can halt the disease for a year.

The Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has approved Pluvicto, which could delay the progression of the disease by more than a year.

Cancer experts said it was a “major clinical breakthrough”, giving new hope to men with metastatic disease.
