The alleged gangster who killed two police officers at a California motel committed suicide after fatally shooting officers, according to online forensic records.
Justin Flores, 35, committed suicide on the sidewalk of the Siesta Inn Motel, where he killed El Monte’s police chief. Michael Paredes and Officer Joseph Santana on Tuesday, according to the Los Angeles County Forensic Department.
The cause of Flores’ death was a gunshot wound to the head. Officials had said Flores died in a shootout with other officers after killing Paredes, 42, and Santana, 31, inside the motel while responding to a domestic incident.
Paredes and Santana died of gunshot wounds to the head, according to forensic records.
After fatally shooting the officers, Flores ran out and exchanged gunfire with other police officers, officials said earlier.

LA County Progressive District Attorney George Gascón has faced growing scrutiny over the shooting, with Santana’s mother blaming the prosecutor for her son’s death.
Flores was on parole at the time of the double homicide after pleading guilty to a felony possession of a firearm last year.
Flores’ parole officer asked for the alleged gang member to return to court later this month, according to court records.
