A local news man died after the Ming Bight SUV crash

A 49-year-old man has died after an all-terrain vehicle accident at Ming’s Bight in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The RCMP of Baie Verte received the first notification of the accident, which took place on the main street, shortly before 3:00 am.

The driver, who was not wearing a helmet, was found dead at the scene.

The chief forensic doctor has been hired and is being investigated on suspicion of alcohol consumption.

According to the RCMP, eight people have died in all-terrain vehicle accidents in its jurisdiction so far this year, five of whom were not wearing helmets.
