Police have charged one man and are looking for two more who are wanted in an investigation into Etobicoke car theft.
The robbery happened on Monday, July 4 near Rathburn Road and Islington Avenue.
Toronto police said a 65-year-old man was driving his car when he stopped on the side of the road and drove off.
Three men then approached with masks.
Police said a man got into the car, while another pointed a gun while allegedly asking him to hand him the car keys.
A third man pushed the 65-year-old man out of the way before the three suspects fled the area by car, they said.
Members of the Hod Up Squad began an investigation and were able to determine the identity of one of the men.
On Thursday, July 14, investigators executed a search warrant where they located one of the suspects and arrested him.
Police said during the search warrant, officers recovered a malfunctioning gun and some property extracted from the car during the robbery.
Diondre Roy, 18, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with robbery with a firearm, disguising himself intentionally, failing to serve parole, failing to comply with a warrant for the release and possession of property obtained for a felony .
He had a court appearance on July 15.
The other two suspects remain unidentified and pending.
Both are described as men, black and about five feet and five with a medium build.
