Police found the woman with critical injuries. It could not be revived.

Neighbors said they heard noises coming from the property.

“Thinking about it now, it was probably a cry of anguish, but at the time, it was just a cry,” neighbor Maria Brown told Nine News.

Another neighbor, Chris Ward, said, “It’s scary to know that this could happen anywhere, even in places where you least expect it to happen.”

Investigators say they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the matter.
