On Monday, emergency services arrived at Bootle Strand following reports of an attempted robbery at the bank. No injuries were reported, but bank staff and customers were “extremely shaken” by the incident.

Following the incident, the center’s management posted a statement on the mall’s website and Facebook page confirming that the bank’s store will remain closed “until further notice.”

A cordon of police was seen around the Park Lane post office in Netherton on Wednesday afternoon following another attempted robbery. Park Lane road closures were made around the junction with Hereford Drive as motorists are asked to look for alternative routes.
