A man hit with a metal bar after shooting at abandoned Primrose Court

A man was attacked with a metal bar after being shot at his home on a crime-ridden estate.

Khaled Baleid, 59, was left with two black eyes and a broken nose after the attack on his home in Primrose Court in Huyton on Monday 30 May. Shocking CCTV footage shows the moment he was punched in the back of the head while standing. on his own path, before being hit with a metal bar.

Khaled said the assailant called him a racist abuser as he repeatedly hit him in the head with a gun. He arrived after he reported to police that someone with a compressed air rifle had shot at his home the day before, on May 29th.

Khaled said he, his wife and a friend were doing some work on the drain outside their home at the time the air rifle was fired, but luckily no one was injured.

Khaled told ECHO: “I don’t feel safe, but at the same time I’m willing to fight for my rights even if they kill me because I have nowhere to go. I recently got my British nationwide, I only have my British passport, I just want to live in peace.

“I don’t want anyone coming to attack my house.”

The 59-year-old man was taken to Whiston Hospital by a police patrol after the attack, where he was told he had a broken nose. Khaled said he is subjected to racial abuse and threats on a daily basis by a gang of four men and teenagers.

ECHO has previously reported on the problems facing Primrose Court, where many of the houses are empty and abandoned. Urbanization has been plagued by crime, serious violence and anti-social behavior in recent years.

An abandoned urbanization TikTok went viral in January and was viewed more than five million times in 24 hours.

Khaled added: “Why should anyone come to your house and threaten you? What have we done about it? We are good innocent people. We told them to leave us alone.

“I just want them to stay away from me and respect us.”

Following the May 30 attack, Merseyside police said a 17-year-old boy from Liverpool had been charged with felony criminal mischief, intimidating a witness, aggravated racial harm and unintentionally injuring and inflicting grievous bodily harm.

He appeared at Merseyside Juvenile Prison Court yesterday morning and was arrested.
