Emergency services have responded to a police shooting on Newlands Road in Coburg North.
A man was shot by police at around 4.40pm and paramedics attended to him at the scene.
Police say no one else was injured in the shooting.
Although authorities say they are still determining the exact circumstances of the shooting, police have confirmed there is no connection between the Coburg North incident and the shooting of a former member of the motorcycle gang in Fawkner on Saturday.
