A man killed after a shooting in northeast Calgary

A man has died after a shooting Monday morning in Falconridge, northeast Calgary.

Officers found a man outside a home on Falsby Way NE, police said.

Police say officers were called to the area shortly before 11 a.m. to report shootings.

The man’s death is considered suspicious.

It is the second suspicious death in so many days after a man’s body was found on Sunday in the south-west district of Upper Mount Royal, although police say they do not believe the two deaths are related.

Several homes on the street were evacuated and parts of 54th Street NE were cut off from traffic.

The autopsy will be done later this week.

Investigators were still at the scene Monday afternoon while interviewing witnesses and looking for images from security cameras.
