Police have arrested a man in connection with an incident in which a woman was chased through the woods.
He was arrested yesterday on suspicion of harassment by fear of violence or serious alarm or distress and remains in police custody.
The victim was walking in Hermit’s Cave Woods, near the border, near Tetbury at 1.15pm when a man deliberately started following her on Thursday 28 July.
More than 20 people contacted police after they posted an e-fit of the suspect on Tuesday
Non-uniformed officers from Vanguard’s specialist response team have also been patrolling Tetbury since the horrific incident.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information that could help identify the man should contact Gloucestershire Police quoting incident 270 of July 28.
