A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a shooting at The Danforth.
At around 8:40 p.m., Toronto police said they were responding to reports of a shooting in the Danforth Road and Main Street area.
Officers responded and found a man with gunshot wounds.
He was then transported to the hospital by Toronto paramedic services, police said.
At the moment there is no information on possible suspects.
Roads have been cut in the area while officers investigate the shooting.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact investigators.
The shooting marks at least the third incidence of armed violence in the city this weekend after two shootings a few hours apart in the entertainment district on Saturday evening and overnight.
A shooting on the outskirts of Scotland Bank Arena left one victim dead, while the other at a King Street West club seriously injured a 20-year-old man and woman.
