Turkish national Gokhan Can has been identified as the man who was stabbed to death in a Western Australian detention center.
The 32-year-old man was found with serious injuries at the Yongah Hill Detention Center around 11.45pm on Wednesday.
He was taken to Northam Hospital, where he later died.

A fire was also extinguished at the scene.
A detainee told 9News that people in the center were living in fear as growing violence became mass.
“They’re terrified, I can see the fear in their eyes. People are dying here,” he said.
“There is no value for human beings in this place.
“What a human being does is a piece of paper called a visa.”
The detainee said Can had a family that loved him and had been waiting for him to be released for almost a decade.
“He has a family and a mother and a little brother,” he said.
“Her mother loves her and he loves her mother. She is an Australian citizen.”

On Thursday night, forensic police still at the center took away several items for DNA testing.
An autopsy by Can is expected to reveal more in the coming days.
Two men have been arrested by police for assisting in the investigation.
No charges have been filed.
The homicide team is now investigating, in charge of alerting the Can family to Victoria.
The Coalition for Refugee Action said it was the second stabbing incident at the detention center in two days.
