A man has been missing after he was seen driving away from his vehicle on a closed stretch of road outside the city of Morris, south of Manitoba.
The RCMP has asked for help to find 25-year-old Steven Froese.
Police were called around 11:35 p.m. Wednesday on an abandoned van on Highway 23, about two miles west of Morris.
The road was cut off by flooding on the ground.
Froese’s Ford Windstar van was found in a waterway on the highway and was still running with its doors open, RCMP spokesman Paul Manaigre said in an email.
Froese was last seen walking east, away from his vehicle.
Police describe Froese as five feet, 10 inches and 260 pounds, with short brown hair and hazel eyes.
