Police are investigating the death of a young woman who fell from a moving vehicle in the Northern Territory.
Officers said today that an investigation was being opened into the incident earlier this week which initially left the seven-year-old girl with serious head injuries.
At around 4pm on Sunday, the girl was traveling with her father and several others in a vehicle about 25 miles east of the town of Harts Range, 200 miles northeast of Alice Springs.
During this trip, police believe he fell from the moving vehicle.
She was first taken to a Harts Range clinic before being taken to Royal Adelaide Hospital, where she later died of her injuries.
Police experts in traffic accidents have traveled to the area to investigate the incident.
