A Sydney cleaner has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for the murder of her 92-year-old client.
Hanny Papanicolaou brutally beat Marjorie Welsh at her Ashfield home in 2019.

Papanicolaou hit her grandmother with her own crockery and a cane before stabbing her repeatedly.
Welsh died of her wounds six weeks after she was attacked in her kitchen.
In handing down his sentence, Judge Wright told the court that “the murder was not planned and impulsive.”
“The criminal’s intent was to kill,” Wright said.
Papanicolaou looked at his feet and cried as he read the remarks.
The 39-year-old will spend a minimum of 15 years behind bars.

“I am personally very pleased with the outcome,” said the victim’s daughter, Angela Macleod.
In a sworn statement in court, Papanicolaou expressed his remorse.
“I’m sorry about everything. Marjorie Welsh was a beautiful lady. She was always very kind to me,” the affidavit said.
“I wish I could go back to that day and change what happened. I pray to God to forgive him five times a day.”
Papanicolaou will be eligible for parole in 2034.
