A Toronto man faces about 30 charges in a human trafficking case involving a young victim who police say was sexually treated in British Columbia and Ontario for nearly a year.

Authorities say the human trafficking control team and the CARE (Children At Risk of Exploitation) team began an investigation in April this year.

Toronto police say an Ontario teenager was cared for through social media and was taken to BC, where she was forced to have sex work in both provinces between August 2021 and April 2021. 2022.

On Thursday, June 23, Toronto police arrested a 21-year-old man in the far east of the city.

Andrew “Hot Boy Ryda” Pothiers-Grant is charged with 27 counts including assault, child pornography and multiple crimes of trafficking, drugs and weapons.

Investigators say they are concerned there are more casualties and are asking affected people or anyone with information to contact police.
