A U.S. Navy helicopter crashed Thursday at a training camp in Imperial County.
IMPERIAL COUNTY, California – A U.S. Navy helicopter crashed Thursday at a training camp in Imperial County.
According to the Naval Air Facility El Centro, the accident took place at the Navy training camp. The four people on board the helicopter survived the crash, authorities said.
The U.S. Navy initially reported that the crash happened near Yuma, Arizona, before issuing an update later in the night that the crash happened in the El Centro area.
Development on Thursday comes just one day after a different military plane crashed in Imperial County, killing five Marines on Wednesday.
