A wedding attendant was caught in the act after allegedly stealing $ 16,000 at Melbourne receptions

A serial wedding accident has been reported after he allegedly stormed the wells of wishes at eight weddings in Melbourne.

The 24-year-old Carlton man allegedly pretended to be a guest at wedding receptions held in Melbourne venues between April 2 and May 22.

He allegedly stole $ 16,000 in cash, jewelry and gift cards from three of the events.

At a wedding in Brunswick, bride Kellee Pace said the man allegedly stole thousands of her wishes and even wrote in the guestbook.

“It was the best wedding I had ever attended and it felt amazing and lucky that night, three-quarters of our good wishes were missing,” she said.

“We definitely felt very raped, we were mingling with people and he was downstairs drinking at the bar and we had no idea he was there.”

The wedding industry, however, went backwards, sharing the image of the man among them, before wedding planner Jasmine Arapovic discovered it at his sister-in-law’s wedding.

“It was a heavy Macedonian wedding, definitely not mixed up,” she said.

“Then my dad put him on his head a little bit to make sure he wasn’t trying to escape before he could talk to the enclosure manager to get him put in a room.”

Police arrested the man and charged him with robbery at eight locations in two months in Brunswick, Brunswick East, Fitzroy, Ripponlea and Hawthorn.

Police allegedly found jewelry and gift cards when they searched a Carlton property yesterday.

The man was arrested and charged with 27 counts, including robbery, robbery, robbery and robbery.

He has been released on bail and is due to appear in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 18 October.
