Hamilton police say they have charged a 33-year-old woman with admission after a protest against conservative progressive leader Doug Ford.

Attorney Caryma Sa’d says she is the person who was detained at John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport.

Police say Ford attended the airport around 5:30 p.m. yesterday for an election campaign shutdown.

Police in riot gear stormed a rally on Friday, removing hundreds of protesters by truck.

Sa’d says he wasn’t there to protest Ford and that he actually had a printed confirmation to attend the PC Party event.

Police and Sa’d agree that she was later removed from the property and immediately released with a fine for intrusion into the property.

She says she intends to fight the ticket in court.
