A woman has died after falling while climbing a mountain in Snowdonia.
The tragic incident happened yesterday (June 2) in Glyder Fach, in the North Wales range. The climber fell and was informed by the mountain rescue team that he was unconscious, North Wales Live reports.
She was boarded by a Coast Guard helicopter, but unfortunately died. His climbing partner was lowered from the mountain by lifeguards and supported at his base.

The incident was first reported to Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue around 2:30 p.m. Thursday. In a statement, Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue said: “The second call of the day came at 2.30pm with reports of a fallen climber on Glyder Fach.
“A main climber fell on the Sima Route and was reported unconscious, nearby climbers rushed to help and the Coast Guard helicopter hit the victim, but unfortunately she had not survived. the climbers helped her partner down the climb to the team members waiting for her and cared for her at the base.
“The team’s thoughts are with family, friends and fellow downhill climbers. The team also wants to thank the attending climbers for all their help.”
