One person has died and another remains in hospital with serious injuries following another crash in the region today.
A woman, who has not yet been named, was pronounced dead at the scene after the crash on the A171 in North Yorkshire.
The crash happened on the outskirts of the village of Cloughton, near Scarborough, at around 2pm on Saturday.

It comes as three people died in a crash near Bedale last night, while a man died in a crash in Norton, Stockton today.
A silver Honda Jazz was traveling from the direction of Whitby when it was involved in a collision with a black Mazda camper van near the turn off for Hayburn Wyke.
In a statement, North Yorkshire Police said: “Sadly the female driver of the Honda Jazz was pronounced dead at the scene and the female driver of the van has been taken to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.
“Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen any vehicles in the area before the collision or anyone who has dashcam footage or any other information that could assist the investigation.”

As of 6 p.m., police said the road is currently closed and is expected to remain closed for some time, so drivers should avoid the area.
