“Absolute Butchery”: The world of cricket stunned as Stuart Broad breaks an unwanted record

The world of cricket has been stunned after England’s fast bowling player Stuart Broad broke an all-time unwanted record in wild scenes.

Stuart Broad has made the most expensive test cricket history during England’s fifth Test against India on Saturday (AEST).

He spent the 2nd day at Edgbaston, while England sought to end with baptism the first mammoth entrances from India.

But fast Indian player Jasprit Bumrah had other ideas as he sent Broad to all sides in chaotic scenes.

Broad conceded a whopping 35 runs over and did not avoid throwing a free and a deflected ball.

To break it down, it was the over: four, five wide, no ball and one six, four, four, four, six, one.

Broad could only make an ironic smile as Bumrah hit him everywhere, much to the delight of Virat Kohli and the rest of the Indian team.

A total of 35 runs broke the previous record of 28 runs awarded in a single over in a test match.

This brand was jointly owned by Brian Lara (converted by Robin Peterson), George Bailey at the 2013-14 Ashes (converted by James Anderson) and Keshav Mahraj (converted by Joe Root).

Naturally, the world of cricket exploded on record and many reacted with joy that Broad was subjected to the humiliation of a tailender.

“An absolute carnage of that Stuart Broad,” the great Englishman Nasser Hussain said in a comment.

Broad may be sixth on the all-time list of test carriers, but now it also has the distinction of awarding most races in a single over in both tests and T20 Internationals.

At the 2007 T20 World Cup, a fresh-faced Broad conceded 36 runs to India’s Yuvraj Singh, who crushed him by six.

For the record, India was eliminated by 416, placing them in a dominant position in the fifth and final test.

Goalkeeper Rishabh Pant (146 of 111 balls) and versatile Ravindra Jadeja (104 of 194) scored centuries in the first innings. India leads the series 2-1.
