Hanging from one hand at 1,280 feet, free climber Adam Lockwood shows off his latest stunt in front of the camera.
The 21-year-old from Manchester pretended to be a worker to access Dubai’s tallest crane, on top of a new 77-storey Il Primo apartment block.

With dizzying views of the city as a backdrop, it was filmed hanging from the hands and legs of the metal bars, slippery due to a protective layer of grease that made the climb riskier.
The skyscraper is next to the 2,700-foot Burj Khalifa. Lockwood said it was “the most amazing thing I’ve ever done,” and added:
“Having hung Dubai’s tallest crane on the door of the tallest building in the world is something special … it was definitely worth the risk and the legal consequences if they caught me. Going up the fire, I quickly realized that the whole crane was covered in grease.
“I had four closed calls going up and down.”

His previous stunts have included hanging out of Milan’s 262-foot San Siro football stadium and climbing the glass pyramid of the Louvre in Paris.
In 2020, he breached a court order banning him from climbing buildings in Manchester. He received a suspended sentence.
