Adelaide killer Nicole Therese McGuinness charged with parole

One of South Australia’s most notorious killers has returned to jail after being charged with violating his parole.

Nicole Therese McGuinness beheaded and killed her victim, burying parts of her body in a patch of strawberries north of Adelaide.

McGuinness wants to regain her freedom after being charged with violating her parole within months of her release from the community.

The then 35-year-old was jailed for at least 18 years for the cold-blooded stabbing of 53-year-old truck driver Joanne Lillecrapp in 2001.

McGuinness and his co-defendant dismembered the body and disposed of some of the remains of the strawberry patch at the Angle Park victim’s home, as well as several other places in Adelaide.

The victim had gone through her own struggles, starting living as a woman a decade earlier.

Lillecrap had befriended the two killers, who were lovers who worked as prostitutes, because he wanted to try to help them get rid of drugs.

Nine News understands that drugs may be implicated in recent allegations of non-compliance with McGuinness.

Lillecrapp’s brother has previously struggled to prevent McGuinness from being released.

He hopes he won’t have to do the same thing again, but he hopes to know if the court will ask for his opinion.

McGuinness will appear in the Supreme Court on Monday.
