Adele has no regrets when it comes to canceling her residency in Las Vegas in January, saying the show simply didn’t live up to her standards.
“I definitely felt everyone’s disappointment and I was devastated and scared to let them down, and I thought I could do it together and make it work and I couldn’t, and I keep that decision,” he said. on BBC Radio 4. Desert Island Discs, and added that the reaction was “brutal” and left her as a “shell of a person for a couple of months”.
Despite receiving a poisonous response from disappointed fans and possibly wasting tons of cash on the show’s production, the “Hello” singer refused to give in.
“You can’t buy me, you can’t buy me for nothing,” he stated. “I’m not just going to do a show because I have to do it or because people are disappointed or because we’re going to lose a lot of money. I say, ‘the show isn’t good enough.'”

Although he billed the initial cancellation as a “postponement,” he has yet to create concrete plans for makeup shows.
“I won’t update you if I don’t have anything to update you because that only leads to more disappointment.”
In January, the singer apologized profusely for postponing her “Weekends With Adele” residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, which was initially scheduled to begin on Friday, Jan. 21 and run through mid-April.

“We have tried absolutely everything possible to put it together in time and to make it good enough for you, but we have been absolutely destroyed by the delivery delays and the COVID,” he confessed at the time.
“Half of my crew, half of my team is down with COVID, they still are, and it’s been impossible to finish the show. I can’t give you what I have right now, and I’m devastated,” he said while his voice was beginning to break. “I’m discouraged and I’m sorry it’s so last minute.”

Since the postponement, numerous reports have emerged stating the real reason for the delay, including an alleged clash with the venue over its 60-person heart and discussions with its set designer, Esmeralda Devlin.
The vocalist was recently moved to tears as she performed in London on Friday night for the BST Hyde Park Festival in London, and told the BBC that her well-documented anxiety about acting is proof that he still cares about his craft.

“It means I care, and I think a lot of people don’t really care anymore,” he said. “It breaks my heart when I go to a show or I listen to an album or something and I say, ‘I don’t think they’re there anymore, I don’t think they bother them, they don’t think they care what they’re doing anymore.'”
She added, “Only when I have this wild ride of terrifying adrenaline do I get excited… My nerves make me want to go do a great show. That’s my measure. When I don’t feel that way, I finish. I don’t.” I will do more. “
