Adele told fans she was “excited” while doing her first concert in the UK in five years.
The 34-year-old pop star performed at BST Hyde Park on Friday evening, with the audience exhausted listening to consecutive hits spanning his four number one albums.
When she arrived on stage in a black dress, she was visibly excited as fans shouted Hello’s initial lyrics.
“What’s going on with me ?!” she asked, as she asked the audience to help her bring the song to central London, before she sang the melody herself.
At a break, London-born Adele said, “Hi, I’m so happy to be here.
“Guys, I’ve come home, also where I know. The number of times I’ve been up there drunk in the face, singing with other artists on these shows.”
She added that she was “excited” to perform again, but admitted that it was “strange to be in front of a crowd again.”
Adele used numbers like Easy On Me, Rumor Has It, To Make You Feel My Love and Rolling In The Deep, while conversing with the crowd between songs with her typically comic style.
He fired £ 50 T-shirts and banknotes with a cannon gun at the crowd, and even promised a fan who had just turned 18 that he would buy them his first drink after the show.
At various times in the evening he stopped the show to alert the safety of possible public problems, in an effort to keep everyone safe.
Alluding to the much-reported delays of her unfortunate residency in Las Vegas and the postponement of an album, Adele told fans, “I know a lot has happened with this album and I’m sure many of you are sorry. you have been disappointed and other things, which is very mortifying and annoying to me.
“But I take my singing very seriously and the last thing I want to do is disappoint people, but I had to do it, it just wasn’t right.”
Adele pulled off the show series at Caesars Palace a few days before they took place, saying the show would not be ready in time.
There has been no word since when the shows could be resumed at the world-famous venue.
Her performance at BST Hyde Park is her first show at the festival since 2016, when she lit up the Pyramid Stage in Glastonbury.
While this is his first concert in the UK in five years, he sang at this year’s Brit Awards at the O2 Arena and hosted An Audience With Adele at the London Palladium last November.
Adele will perform a second sold-out concert at Hyde Park on Saturday, with The Rolling Stones, Pearl Jam and Duran Duran appearing in the concert series over the next few nights.
