Aldi budget dupe frenzy over $1200 Le Creuset cookware

Kitchen enthusiasts on a budget have rejoiced after Aldi relaunched its $600 Le Creuset cookware bargain.

Sydney influencer Adrian Widjy excitedly took to TikTok to showcase the re-released range at his local Aldi store.

The Crofton cookware range is available in four colors and is part of Aldi’s Special Buys collection.

“Time to run to Aldi,” the video began.

“They’re back with affordable cast iron cookware. The most expensive at $30, while most are around $20.

“From pan, roaster, grill and more, with four color options.”

According to Le Creuset’s Australian website, a round cast iron pan can cost between $340 and $1,200, depending on the size and color of the item.

The Aldi item dupe has built up an online cult following since it first went on sale in 2020, and fans are happy for its return.

“These are sensational to cook with,” said one person.

“Definitely running out to get more.”

“I bought one last year, and it’s honestly the best pan I’ve ever owned,” replied another.

“Better than my $200 Scanpan.”

The range is part of Aldi’s special buys available from 13 August and are only available in store for a limited time.

According to Aldi, the pieces feature a durable three-layer enamel coating and are suitable for all hobs, including gas, electric, ceramic glass and induction.

The collection includes a French Pan ($29.99), a Dutch Oven ($26.99), a Casserole ($19.99), a Roaster ($26.99), a Frying Pan ($19.99 ) and a pan ($19.99).

This isn’t the first time the German supermarket has launched budget dupes for designer products.

Last month, Aldi launched their own hoodies, with a strikingly similar design to the popular Oodie.

Priced at just $29.99, they were much cheaper than the Oodies which retail for $109.
