Alex De Minaur safely reaches the last 32 at Wimbledon, with a hard-fought victory over Englishman Jack Draper.
After Nick Kyrgios won earlier in the day, De Minaur got two Australians in the third round with a 5-7, 7-6, 6-2, 6-3 victory.
In De Minaur’s typically humble manner, he came out in front of the post-match interview to celebrate the victory of his girlfriend Katie Boulter, rather than enjoy his own success.

“Before we talk about my party, can we talk about Katie Boulter today?” He said to the crowd.
“She had a pretty good win.”
The British joker had broken down in tears earlier in the day after a massive victory over Karolina Pliskova, dedicating the victory to her grandmother, who died two days ago.

And just a few hours later, De Minaur completed a perfect day for the couple.
“I’m very excited to get this win, it was a battle out there. Jack is a hellish competitor, a hell of a talent and he has a very bright future ahead of him,” he said.
The No. 19 seed said his attitude was the best weapon he had in his arsenal today: a second-set tiebreaker was a turning point in the game after Draper had won the first set.

“Sometimes it didn’t look too good, but I stayed hard, I stayed positive and I held it together.
“I managed to play great tennis for all three hours.”
De Minaur’s next assignment is another boy from his hometown to Liam Broady, who beat 12th seed Diego Schwartzman in a five-set.
The Australian said he was happy to interpret the bad.
“If I get to play on these courts every day, it’s a pleasure to play against any Briton; I’m just honored to be here, happy to be here and looking forward to another chance.”
