Amazon says it will create more than 4,000 new permanent jobs in the UK this year.
The company said this would bring its permanent workforce to 75,000.
Functions will be spread across the UK and will include work at new delivery centers, where employees pack and ship customer orders, to Wakefield and Knowsley.
They include jobs in business, technology, software development, product management and engineering, as well as operations teams.
“We continue to invest in talent across the UK, from apprentices in Swansea to data scientists in Edinburgh,” said John Boumphrey, manager of Amazon UK.
“People join us not only for the wide variety of roles, great salaries and benefits, but for the professional development opportunities we offer.”
