Prime Day is still a week away, but Amazon is making the leap to one of its most important events of the year by selling a bunch of its own products a little earlier. One of them is the fourth generation Echo Dot. The company has reduced the price of the smart speaker with Alexa by 60 percent for Prime members. It comes down to $ 20, which is $ 30 off the regular price. This is the best price we have seen so far.

We gave the Echo Dot a score of 88 on our review, praising it for the decent audio quality, a 3.5mm audio output jack and the option to touch it to postpone the ‘alarm. We also liked the spherical design. It’s worth noting that it’s been almost two years since Amazon launched the fourth-generation Echo Dot. Lowering the price to just $ 20 is an indicator that the company is eliminating stocks before a possible new model this fall.
Plus, there’s a decent deal on the usual fourth-generation Echo. This has dropped from $ 100 to $ 60. The larger version of the Alexa smart speaker also has a 3.5mm audio output jack. We gave it a score of 89 on our review, largely because of the great sound quality.

If you were already thinking about buying an Echo, keep in mind that you can combine two of the smart speakers to get stereo audio. If you pay an extra $ 20 in addition to the regular price, you’ll get two of the speakers right away. Again, however, the fourth-generation Echo was announced in September 2020, so it needs to be refreshed.
