Amber Heard closed by the judge for a jury fraud claim in the Depp case

Amber Heard lost what could have been her best argument for a new trial … because the judge just hit the hammer with her claim that one of the jurors committed fraud.

Amber’s legal team had filed documents claiming that one of the jurors actually took the citation from her father – who shared the same name – and fraudulently tarnished it. Father and son live together.

The judge did not buy what Amber was selling, ruling that there was no fraud because the subpoena did not include date of birth. What’s not clear … the son’s name has something that sets him apart from his father, like a “junior” or an “II” at the end. Either way … the judge said there was no fraud, and suggested that the father or son could have appeared on the jury.

Also … the judge said Amber’s motion was sour grape … she could have done it much earlier, but the only reason she does it now is because she lost the case. In other words, he sat on his hands, so he gets no legal relief.

Amber also argued that the $ 10 million compensatory damages award Johnny Depp received was excessive. Not a surprise here, the judge dismissed Amber. There was evidence that Johnny lost much more than that after his film roles were withdrawn following Amber’s defamatory comment to the Washington Post.

Short story … Amber closed. He can still appeal, but his chances of winning are slim.
