A jury in Johnny Depp’s recent defamation trial in the United States has given his impressions of Amber Heard, saying she appeared to shed “crocodile tears” during her testimony.
Speaking to Good Morning America on Thursday on condition of anonymity, the jury said the actress “did not look so believable.”

Depp sued Heard for defamation after writing an article for the Washington Post in 2018, describing himself as a “public figure representing domestic abuse.”
The jury found that Heard had defamed Depp and ordered him to pay him $ 10 million in damages.
But Heard countered after one of Depp’s lawyers gave an interview before the trial in which he described his allegations of abuse as a “deception.”

The jury found that Heard was defamed by the comments and also awarded him $ 2 million in damages.
During the trial, Heard said Depp was verbally and physically abusive towards her on numerous occasions.
But the jury said it didn’t look natural or believable in the stands.
“He seemed to be able to turn on the switch of his emotions,” the jury said.
“She answered a question and was crying and two seconds later it was freezing.
“It didn’t look natural.”

The jury added that Johnny Depp “seemed a little more real about how he answered the questions.”
The jury was one of five men and two women in charge of deciding the outcome of the trial.
He said the jury concluded that “the two were abusing each other,” but that Heard’s legal team had failed to prove Depp committed the physical acts of violence he had alleged.
“They had discussions between her husband and his wife,” she said.
“They both called out to each other.
“I don’t think that makes them right or wrong.
“That’s what you do when you get into a discussion, I guess.
“But to get to the level of what he was saying, there was not enough or no evidence to really support what he was saying.”

The jury also asked to what extent Heard was committed to helping Depp quit the drugs, when he admitted that she had taken them herself.
“If you really wanted to help Johnny Depp quit drugs, why are you taking drugs around him?” He said.
They also talked about the types of drugs Depp used to take: alcohol and marijuana.
“If you mix alcohol and marijuana, that’s where you usually end up, you faint,” he said, referring to a photo Heard had taken of Depp fainting after drug use, with ice cream melting in the skirt.

“We discussed at length that many of the drugs he said he was using were mostly depressed.
“And you are not usually violent with the depressed.
“You become a zombie, as these pictures show.”
Other issues with Heard’s testimony, according to the jury, included “before and after” photos presented as evidence that were intended to show the outcome of one of Depp’s physical assaults.
The jury said they believed the argument that an image was digitally manipulated to “redden” Heard’s face, so it looked bruised.

Heart’s credibility was also shattered by the revelation that she had not given $ 7 million of her divorce agreement to a charity, as she had previously stated.
“The fact is, she didn’t reveal much,” the jury said.
“It was a fake.”

Finally, the jury denied claims that the jury was “bribed,” was impacted by Depp, or was unduly influenced by social media.
He said he and at least three members of the jury did not have Twitter accounts.
“Social media didn’t impact us. We followed the tests,” he said.
“None of us were really fans of any of them.
“It simply came to our notice then [the courtroom].
“It simply came to our notice then.

“So we didn’t take it lightly.”
