Amber Heard says she is “terrified” of being sued again by Johnny Depp for defamation

Amber Heard said in a recent interview that she was “terrified” of being sued again for defamation by Johnny Depp, statements that come just three weeks after actress “Aquaman” lost her defamation case against the her ex-husband.

“I took for granted what was supposed to be my right to speak, not just what I experienced but what I knew,” the actress said of the case in a Friday night session with Savannah Guthrie on Dateline. “from NBC.

“I’m terrified,” Heard added when asked if he was afraid Depp would sue again.

“I guess that’s what it’s like to sue for defamation, it’s meant to get your voice heard.”

The full interview with Guthrie aired after several teasers were released throughout the week.

Although the jury decided earlier this month that Heard, 36, had impregnated his ex with “Pirates of the Caribbean” with allegations of abuse, he insisted he kept “all the words” of his testimony. .

In fact, Heard downplayed allegations that Depp abused her during her “ugly” marriage and bluntly accused her of lying after she repeatedly denied her allegations in the stands during the six-week trial.

At one point in the interview, Guthrie noted that Depp stated that he had never beaten Heard during their relationship and that “no woman has come forward and said he has physically beaten them.”

Heard responded by hinting that Depp’s other exes might have been too scared to publicly accuse him of alleged abuse.

“Look what happened to me when I got ahead. Would you like to?” she said.

She went on to explain her motivation to speak publicly after being investigated by Guthrie.

“One thing I can tell you is that something I am not is vindictive. No part of me sees it … That would be a very bad way to get revenge,” Heard said.

“You know, Savannah, how silly it is to say this out loud … my goal, the only thing I could expect right now, is that I just want people to see me as a human being.”

Heard also admitted that he “absolutely” still loves Depp and that he “has no bad feelings” towards him.

Asked if there was anything he would like the jury to see during the trial, Heard said there are documents from his doctor that “represent years, years of real-time explanations of what was going on.”

“There is a record of years of notes dating back to 2011 from the beginning of my relationship that were taken by my doctor, whom I was reporting abuse,” Heard said at one point in the interview. .
