The high urban stops traffic

An alcove was seen in the parking lot of Orchard Park Mall on Friday.
Some Kelowna motorists received a very Canadian surprise near Orchard Park Mall on Canada Day.
An alcove appears to have been lost a bit when it crossed Springfield Road around 5:30 p.m. Friday and entered the southwest corner of the parking lot of Orchard Park Mall, near the Old Navy.
A Castanet reader, who preferred to remain anonymous, said the stop ran next to his car in Springfield for a while, before crossing the road to the mall parking lot.
“I stopped and people on the other side of the road stopped and we were all amazed,” the reader said.
“You could say he was very scared because he was doing some kind of foam in his mouth to run and he got scared.”
The moose headed for Cooper Road, stopping traffic again and headed south to the more agricultural area near Benvoulin Road.
“I’ve seen deer and bones before, but never a running elk around Springfield,” the reader said.
“Only in Canada, eh?”
