An explosion destroyed a house in south London on Monday, with three people taken to hospital.
Firefighters were called to the scene on Galpin’s Road in Thornton Heath just after 7am.
Three people were rescued from the wreckage, London Fire Brigade (LFB) said.
The cause of the explosion is not yet known.
In a statement on its website, the brigade said: “A terraced house has collapsed following an explosion and neighboring properties have also been damaged.
“Three people have been rescued.”
A spokesman for the London Ambulance Service said four people were treated and three patients were taken to hospital.
“We have treated four patients at an incident in Galpins Road, Thornton Heath,” they said. “One was released at the scene and three others were taken to hospital.
“We remain on the scene with our emergency service colleagues.”
All three people taken to the hospital have life-threatening injuries, according to PA.
