Anthony Albanese’s trip to Perth: Prime Minister dines with Mark McGowan on COMO The Treasury

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese began his trip to Perth in style with a dinner at the great COMO The Treasury.

After his meal in the private dining room, Albanese told The West that the food was “fantastic.”

Albanese landed in Perth on Saturday night and quickly headed to the upscale restaurant.

He was accompanied by Prime Minister Mark McGowan and the Minister of Education and Training of the State, Sue Ellery, for the lavish meal.

COMO is one of Perth’s most glamorous establishments in the heart of the city, decorated with upscale restaurants such as Wildflower and premium hotel suites.

In 2016, it was named the best hotel in Australia and New Zealand at the Conde Naste Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards.

The Prime Minister said his visit was “going very well” so far and he was excited about his move to Perth.

McGowan said he was happy to welcome the Prime Minister to the state and said he had a busy schedule while he was here.

Albanese will begin public appearances Sunday morning, first meeting with the WA federal caucus for a thank-you barbecue.

Discussions about WA’s future are expected to be a top priority on the agenda.

Mr Albanese’s trip to WA comes ahead of a three-day trip to Indonesia next week to meet with Indonesian President Joko Widodo.
