Apple has just announced its new iPhone software with an updated lock screen and more

Apple will allow users to edit and retrieve iMessages

Apple has added three main features to its messaging app, Messaging. If the message is an iMessage, not an SMS text, users will be able to edit messages, remember messages sent in error, and postpone texts so that users can handle them later. These small tweaks will change the way nearly a billion people send text messages. – How Leswing

Apple has just announced iOS 16, the latest software for iPhones.

It’s the “biggest lock screen update, completely reimagining how it works,” said Craig Federighi, Apple’s vice president of software engineering. It’s a whole new look that allows users to customize the lock screen with widgets, which are already available on the home screen while holding down. Widgets are small icons that users can click to quickly access tools such as the weather app.

The new lock screen allows you to further customize the font and color of the date and time. It also allows users to shuffle their background photos throughout the day or choose animated backgrounds.

It will also change the way users view notifications so they don’t cover their background photo when the phone is locked. Instead of appearing at the top of the screen, notifications will appear at the bottom.

Apple also expanded its focus feature on the lock screen. The tool allows users to choose how to filter notifications, such as focusing only on personal or work-related messages.

Apple also added major changes to its iMessage app, including options to edit messages, cancel sending, and mark unread threads.

iOS 16 will also extend SharePlay to iMessage, so users can watch or listen to multimedia content simultaneously so they can stop and start on the same site.

Updating the software will also make it easier to switch between typing and dictation.

People start addressing their seats before the presentation. It’s pre-recorded, so there are plenty of big screens for everyone to tune in to. And I like that there is a shady area.

Here’s what to expect

Apple’s annual WWDC Developer Conference aims to cater to software developers. They are the ones who create applications for Mac, iPhone, iPad, Watch and TV. This is usually when Apple introduces new tools for them and big new updates for the iPhone, iPad and other platforms. Apple is reportedly preparing to announce a major update to the iPad software that adds better multitasking, so you can run multiple applications at once. And the iPhone is expected to receive new updates on the lock screen. You can also announce new MacBook Airs. However, unlike the September events on the iPhone, WWDC tends to be more software-focused than hardware-focused. And the software that is advertised at WWDC is usually rolled out to everyone sometime in the fall.

Back home for Apple employees after two years of remote work

WWDC is bringing together Apple developers and press for the first time in two years. But the event is also a comeback for many Apple employees who have been working remotely for the past two years due to the pandemic. Some employees are meeting their teammates in person for the first time, such as those who have traveled from other major Apple offices, such as its facilities in Austin, Texas. Apple began demanding that corporate employees return to the office earlier this year. – How Leswing

Everyone is wondering about Apple headphones

Apple has been working on a headset for years. Reports have suggested it could be launched in 2022 or 2023. It’s the only product everyone is considering right now, as it would be a completely new product area for Apple. It might make sense for CEO Tim Cook and the team to announce the headset software, called realtyOS, as it is a developer-centric event with people creating applications for the device. However, Bloomberg recently suggested that we might not take a look. Still, we could get clues as to what Apple is planning. The company may incorporate some tools into existing software to allow developers to make virtual or augmented reality versions of their existing applications. If this happens, we know that headphones can’t be far away. Or maybe we’ll be surprised and have a full teaser or announcement.

We are live from the World Developers Conference for the first time since the pandemic began. Apple invited some media and developers to its headquarters in Cupertino, California, to see the presentation. But there are some differences from previous years. On the one hand, we are at the headquarters instead of the San Jose Conference Center where Apple held the event for several years before the pandemic.

And the main conference is not to live as in the past. Instead, we’ll see a pre-recorded version just like everyone else who tunes in from home. Still, it shows that major technological events are beginning to return to a normal version. The Google Developer Conference in May was also held in person, but was not open to much of the press.
