iPad Pro 2021: Is multitasking about to change with iPadOS 16?

The next iPad operating system will have a major change in how Apple’s tablet will be used, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. And there are a few days left, as it will appear at Apple’s World Developers Conference, which begins next Monday, June 6th.

The big change is what has been at the top of the wish list for many people for a long time: better multitasking. The iPad, especially when a keyboard is connected, is a consummate computer. As Apple’s recent ad said, “Your next computer is not a computer.” It is true that the iPad Pro is more powerful than many normal laptops.
But there was a problem using your iPad as if it were a touchscreen MacBook, and that’s multitasking. So, the big news is that iPadOS 16 will have a “redesigned multitasking interface that makes it easy to see which apps are open and switch between tasks,” according to Gurman sources.
Does the redesigned iPad mean that the iPad will look even more like a normal laptop?

To me, Gurman’s key phrase is this: “It will also allow users to resize application windows and provide new ways for users to manage multiple applications at once.” This is pretty cool and overcomes many of the limitations that the iPad currently has in terms of productivity.
There is often a perception that the iPad hardware has been so powerful that the software has not kept up, especially with the advent of the Apple M1 processor on the iPad Pro, as well as laptops. and Apple Desktop.
Gurman says this announcement will be one of the most important of the conference. It’s not a joke. Because you are currently restricted to two windows running side by side and a third running above them to sit on the edge, a move in the windows that you can resize will be a change of seismic proportions.
The announcement will be followed by a beta for developers, followed by a public beta and a final general release in the fall.
More details as we have them.
