Apple iPadOS 16 to transform the multitasking experience

Apple’s WWDC will be on June 6, and as usual, we look forward to operating system updates for all of Apple’s key products. According to Bloomberg Mark Gurman one of the big new changes for iPadOS this year is a redesigned multitasking interface that shows open background applications. In addition, iPads will get new options for resizing application windows and additional ways to manage multiple applications at once.

The current version of iPadOS 15 can do split view multitasking where you have two apps side by side, and you can also get another app in slide view that you can scroll to. The new multitasking efforts of iPad 16 will aim to position the iPad as a true replacement for the laptop. The iPad line accounts for 9% of Apple’s annual sales and has seen a significant increase in users over the past two years.
