IPhone 14 leaks are starting to snowball as the launch edges approach, and now we have our best view of what the full range will look like.
Sonny Dickson, Apple’s longtime filter, is behind the latest scoop, releasing a handy video featuring simulated models of the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. And it highlights the most important external changes that come to the range.

Let’s break them down.
1. Goodbye Notch
Perhaps the most controversial change in the iPhone 14 line is Apple’s decision to not only remove the notch, but to replace it with a “i” double-hole design unique to Pro models. This has led some iPhone fans to say that the design is a step backwards, but Apple seems to be committed to the change that will reach the full range in 2023.
It’s an amazing visual change and the biggest design change for the iPhone since the iPhone X was introduced in 2017.
2. Large cameras
The second captivating change that the simulated units highlight is the size of the new iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max rear cameras. Apple has received a strong recommendation to upgrade Pro models to 48 MP primary sensors, which are up to 35% larger than the 12 MP drive of all iPhone 13 models, and Dickson’s video shows the dramatic consequences that this has in the new shot of the camera. Lined up next to the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max (which stick with the 12 MP sensor) they look giant.
Could this be the first year that there has been a dramatic difference in photo quality between the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models?
3. iPhone 14 Maxed
Finally we come to the new member of the range: the iPhone 14 Max, which replaces the 5.4-inch iPhone 13 Mini. Dickson’s simulated units show that it really is a huge device that is as big as the iPhone 14 Pro Max and both have 6.7-inch screens.
Large screen sizes are becoming more popular and I suspect this alone will make the iPhone 14 Max a success, but it means that fans of small phones are now being forced to expand to the iPhone 14 / iPhone 14 Pro 6.1-inch (now the smallest phones in the range). They will also have to pay more, as the iPhone 13 Mini was the entry level option, while the iPhone 14 Max will be above the iPhone 14.
Add the claim that iPhones will switch to USB-C in 2023 (port changes usually have a big impact on the second-hand value of older models) and customers are facing a much bigger upgrade decision than normal and doesn’t have much time to think. about this.
